Bought Broken Refrigerator

A broken refrigerator was installed. Frigidaires policy is that their own repair person must be called out to diagnose and fix the problem (can't return them and the store can't do anything) then the that repair person has to submit a file and then it takes up to 10 days for Frigidaire to review and then they will decide what to do about the broken appliance you bought. It will take over a month for any remedy and I don't even know what that might be and how much longer it will take. Am I the only one who thinks this is terrible customer service? Deeply disappointing experience thus far.

A few weeks in and we are very happy with our new refrigerator. Cold and quiet. I like the simple design but if I had one suggestion for improvement it would be to have the three drawers extend farther out. The deli tray specifically has lots of hidden space when the drawer is opened. Overall, love it so far but it will take some time to answer the most important question for me. In the age of disposable refrigerators how long will this one last?

Just getting acquainted with our new Frigidaire Gallery refridg. Had a GE side by side for 25 years so just getting used to the new set up. This model is what we were looking for. With no kids in the house we did not want an 'in door' water and ice dispenser, so this fits the bill. . . BUT it does have an ice maker in the freezer, AND has a water dispenser inside the left door of the refrigerator. Very nice. We are now 10 days into using it and are about to do some rearranging of shelves to better suit our needs. Will take a little time getting used to the bottom under freezer, but my wife thinks we will get used to it over time.

1st Time French Door

Love the placement of refrigerator on top of the freezer. The French doors don™€™t obstruct the walkway in front of the unit. The interior lighting is excellent for viewing contents. Also like the crisper drawers & large drawer beneath. Especially like the retracting shelf to make room for taller bottles, this worked great when entertaining! The freezer is easy to access & has plenty of storage space. The only downside is having the temperature control on the side panel of one of the doors. I tend to touch it when closing the door & it changes the temperature setting.It is a beautiful looking refrigerator & so far has resisted fingerprints. I am very pleased with it!

I would have thought previous Frigidaire would have lasted longer than 12 years. New model of previous one is nice with two exceptions. The small little shelves on both doors at the bottom is pretty useless, second, the freezer design is less efficient, wasted space, then the previous one.

Received my new refrigerator 11/19/2024. . .missing shelf on left hand side. Went back to Home Depot, exchanged it for another but that one was for a standard depth and so didn't fit my counter depth, or vice versa. Ordered one from Frigidaire, was sent the right side instead of the left. That one came in about 5-7 days. Ordered the correct one; Made 3 calls to Frigidaire since I have been without that shelf since 11/19. Was told yesterday to call back today to get the tracking number. When I did, I was told it hasn't even been released from the warehouse yet. So of course, no tracking number. Was told I'd get a tracking number when it was sent. Asked to speak to a supervisor and was told the supervisors line was not available at this time but they would call me back in an hour (ha ha). No call back. Worst customer service ever.

The fridge looks great and it's exciting having water and ice, but since it came two weeks ago it's been destroying all our groceries by freezing them. Took a few days to get a tech out and now taking a few days to get a part in. Suddenly it's two weeks where you're asking yourself if it's worth buying groceries or better to scrape by on day goods for a few more days and hope it works out. What a disappointment.

We prefer the clean look that is achieved with an interior water dispenser and ice maker in the freezer section, so this model fit our needs from an aesthetic perspective. It's quiet, dispenses water very fast, and has a ton of controls on the inside edge of the left door. For the cons:I've owned several counter-depth French door refrigerators over the years and this freezer section is a bit smaller than the others.The water dispenser started dripping after 6 months of ownership. Not constantly, but 10 to 15 drips after dispensing water. Electrolux replaced the water line that runs from the dispenser to the valve in the back and that improved operation for a couple of weeks but the drip has returned. Thankfully, there is a plastic shelf below the dispenser that serves as a bucket.The freezer section developed a consistent buildup of ice on the door in one corner near the ice maker. It also would not do a great job of keeping ice frozen unless the lowest possible freezer setting was used. Electrolux repaired this issue - turned out that the freezer door wasn't aligned from the factory very well and the seal was a bit pinched in one corner. The freezer section now works great.This is marketed as fingerprint resistant stainless steel, which is true of the main panels. However, the brushed area of the handles aren't nearly as fingerprint resistant and then that high shine stainless strip on the handles is an absolute fingerprint magnet. Really not well thought out - why place a fingerprint magnet design element on the most frequently touched part of an appliance marketed as fingerprint resistant?

Had the refrigerator one month before the freezer died. It™€™s been two months and still no working freezer. Frigidaire warranty is awful. Schedule technicians that don™€™t show up. Awful customer service. Warranty work is non existent.

I™€™ve had the fridge for a couple of weeks and like it so far. Roomy fridge. Love the water dispenser in the inside door, easy to fill up my Stanley cup or tumbler. I wish the freezer had more space - I lost at least half of the space that I had in my previous freezer (side by side 2-door fridge and freezer).

My Review for 23.3 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French Door Refrigerator

We had a Kitchen Aid unit with the same design for many years but it had many things wrong with it: The ice maker stopped working in about a year, the crisper drawers were flimsy and finally, we needed to manually defrost the unit. We liked the design, especially the full width deli tray and counter depth but we had a devil of a time finding one which would fit our available width and height restrictions. This one, just fit. It came with an ice maker, which was a surprise and has much more durable crisper trays. In addition, though the unit is the same exterior size as the original Kitchen Aid, once we put all the food back in, there was more free space than before. One note: The old deli tray had a part which flipped up, giving a better view and access to the back of the tray. On one hand, that part broke-off after a few years, on the other hand, it was useful.

Actually gave it a 4 Star™€¦somehow it went to 5. Thank you to Frigidaire for replacing the defective Gallery we purchased in June. Didn™€™t like the games that were played against the consumer. 5 months later we got a new replacement. Both French Doors and freezer drawer were replaced. Not sure what happened regarding authorization to receive replacement. Frigidaire said they gave the go ahead, our appliance store said they didn™€™t get it™€¦someone™€™s not being honest. Didn™€™t like that the consumer had to work more to get things going, where the appliance store passed the buck onto Frigidaire. It was 5 months of hell™€¦but we™€™re happy to finally get the replacement. So far, so good!

This refrigerator has several nice features but omits those features that tend to break easily like external water/ice dispensers and other unnecessary gadgets. This water dispenser is inside the fridge and quickly fills a glass. Likewise the ice maker stays in the freezer section where it's less likely to break or cause issues. Externally it looks great and the interior refrigerator is roomy with plenty of shelves. We do miss a wine holder/shelf though. The only other negative is the freezer section is not huge and we'll probably have to invest in a dedicated freezer for overflow items. It's probably not ideal for a large family with many hungry kids due to interior space constraints but that's the trade-off with counter-depth refrigerators. We're happy with our purchase and hope to go years without having any issues.

This refrigerator is bay spacious. Just hosted Thanksgiving and I had plenty of room before and after with leftovers. I love the water dispenser that™€™s inside the door. Freezer seems great

Light! Bright!

No more dark recesses where food gets lost only to be excavated on the occasional thorough clean out. This refrigerator is wide open and absolutely filled with light so you can see everything, right at eye level, The French door design is brilliant and spacious while the freezer down below, although not cavernous, is adequate for all the frozen stuff, including the ice. We opted for a model without the ice and water dispenser in the door. We don™€™t miss them ™€“ we don™€™t miss the ice falling to the floor and the water dribbling down the front. it™€™s all clean on the front, and bright! No fingerprints either!

Nice but has a loud noise

So Far, So Good

We've only had the refrigerator for 9 days, but so far, we love it. Delivery was prompt. The only glitch is that the blue tape that they use to hold things in place can leave sticky remnants if not removed carefully. The refrigerator cooled rapidly, and runs very quietly. The ice maker started off somewhat slow (for the first 2-3 days) making ice. But now it makes ice much faster than we can use it. We are very pleased with this refrigerator and would recommend it.
